M-E is available for the following: author visits, to facilitate workshops, to perform readings, to give lectures, to appear on panels, and for event appearances.
M-E offers free virtual author visits via video chat.
M-E has facilitated workshops on a variety of topics (short story writing, the writing life, agent querying process, writing fiction, writing YA literature, writing for or about queer people), and for a variety of individuals (children and teens, writers of all stages, queer and non-queer people).
M-E is fluent in English and French, and can therefore speak and facilitate workshops in either language.
M-E facilitates a one-hour comprehensive workshop/talk on the process of querying literary agents that receives great feedback. I’m always willing to repeat this workshop/talk for groups or organizations.
M-E’s style is informal and conversational, and she relies quite a bit on humor. Whether in front of a small group or a large one, M-E is at ease. She does quite well in front of a group of minimally interested teenagers!
M-E is a full-time shift worker and requires a reasonable amount of lead time (2 months minimum, preferably) to prepare for a specific talk or workshop. M-E will also require a firm date early on in order to ensure she can coordinate availability with her day job.
