So I’ve got a new young adult novel coming out soon–January 31, 2023, actually. That’s soon!

Here’s a question some might have: Do I need to read Girl Mans Up to be able to read Then Everything Happens at Once?

Well, I am here with all of the insight!

The answer is no, you don’t have to, BUT I would highly recommend it–and for reasons that have nothing to do with trying to just get you to go buy my first book and read it.

TEHAO takes place in the same town as GMU, one year-ish later (and honestly, the timeline doesn’t totally make sense because although I don’t think I actually put a date in GMU, the pandemic is in TEHAO, and I think Pen references an “iPod” in GMU, and as if that would’ve been an actual thing teens in 2019 would’ve carried around…but the weird timeline thing doesn’t actually matter, in the grand scheme of things. Anyway…). TEHAO follows a brand new main character BUT without getting too spoiler-y, there might be some of the old GMU crew walking around in this new story. I feel like if it was me, I’d like to have read GMU to truly feel the satisfaction of the little encounters and lines in TEHAO that link us to GMU.

You have free will, though, and they are standalone stories, so the choice is yours. But honestly, you should do what I say and read GMU first. I read it about a year or so
ago (my first time since it was in the editing  phases), and I actually thought it was pretty good.

By the way, if you are interested in reading Girl Mans Up and you like ebooks, it’s a Kindle Monthly Deal at Amazon.com for $1.99! What a STEAL so tell your FRIENDS! (Hehe.)

And if you’re looking for a paper copy, please check out your local indie bookstore first! And if you think it’s good, you can get a bookplate sticker thingy with my autograph, too.

Then Everything Happens at Once comes out in January 2023 and I hope you find it worthy of your time!
